Dia De Los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, is a vibrant and culturally rich celebration that takes place in  Mexico and some other Latin American countries. Although it originates from Mexico, it has gained popularity and has been embraced by many communities in the United States. This annual holiday is a time to honor and remember deceased loved ones. 

During Dia de los Muertos, families come together to create ofrendas, or altars, which are decorated with photographs, favorite foods, and personal belongings of the departed. These altars serve as a way to welcome the spirits of the deceased back to the earthly realm. In addition to the colorful altars, vibrant parades and processions are held, featuring music, dancing, and elaborate costumes. People also visit cemeteries to clean and decorate the graves of their loved ones, leaving offerings such as marigolds and a special bread called pan de muerto.

The celebration of Dia de los Muertos is a beautiful way for individuals to reconnect with their cultural heritage and pay homage to their ancestors. While it has been influenced by various cultures and adapted to local customs in the United States, the essence of this holiday remains the same - a celebration of life and death. It serves as a reminder that death is a natural part of life and should be embraced rather than feared.

The engine specific labeled graves are only useable by that game engine and the owner MUST own a legal copy of RPG Maker MV and/or RPG Maker MZ to be able to use.

Credit must be noted to CCCreations as well as Tonbi for the base of the sprites.
